2022 Ealing Council Elections – Sitting councillor application process (this page only applies to current, sitting councillors)
Applications Now Open
(Closing date 16/10/2021)
If you are not a current, sitting councillor, please go to this page instead.
Ealing Labour Party has opened applications for candidates, ahead of the 2022 London Local Elections that will take place on 5 May 2022. As a current councillor, you will still have to complete the application process to stand as a councillor.
Applications close on October 16, 2021.
This process follows the national timetable for selections and is aimed at having our candidates in place, active and able to embed themselves in their communities in the run-up to the elections on May 5, 2022. We encourage councillors to send in their applications as soon as possible, as the earlier you apply the earlier we will be able to arrange your interviews. There are three phases to the selection process, with timings as follows:
1. Self-nomination Forms and Required Documents (where asked for a signature, please type your name to confirm you have read and agreed) –
d. Councillor’s Ethical Framework
All of these forms need to be completed and returned by October 16, 2021 to lcf2022ealing@gmail.com.
2. Interviews by Assessment Team – interviews will be ongoing, so the sooner you apply the sooner you get interviewed. Successful candidates are then included on the ‘panel of candidates’
3. Ward(s) Shortlisting & Selection Meetings – held in December and January.
Please return your Self-Nomination Form and signed documents to the LCF Secretary Anu Prashar by the end of 16 October 2021 – at lcf2022ealing@gmail.com.
