Your Labour Council is delivering more library improvements. Under Labour all the boroughs libraries have been kept open despite Tory cuts and there has been a major programme of improvements.
Work is now starting on improvements at Greenford Library. The improvements will deliver better disabled access and self-service machines to make the library more accessible and easier to use.
This means that whilst Labour has run the council there have been refurbishments at Hanwell and Perivale library, as well as the complete rebuilding of Acton and Southall Library to deliver modern up to date facilities. Labour is also working to put Wi-Fi in all of the borough’s libraries.
Labour’s cabinet member for community safety and services Cllr Ranjit Dheer said
“Labour values the important role that libraries play in our community. That is why despite the £87m of Tory cuts we have had to face your Labour council has kept all of our libraries open. We have also invested in them to make sure that we have facilities that Ealing residents can be proud of.”
