IMG_8615.JPGWork is starting on opening the southern entrance at Hanwell station. The £300k improvement works will started on April 11 and will be completed by the summer.

Once the works are completed the station will have a Southern entrance open again which will allow commuters to enter the station from Station approach as well as the current entrance on Campbell Road.

The council is providing the initial £50k of investment to ensure that the works on the station get started. It is another example of how Labour is investing in our communities.

The Labour council has been pushing for these improvements for the last four years and we have put our money where our mouth is. It is thanks to Labour’s investment that the work will begin.

We are continuing to push for a desperately needed lift at the station on the back of our success in Greenford and Ealing Broadway. It’s another good news story as to how we are transforming access to public transport across the borough thanks to a Labour council.
